Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing, building, and configuring applications tailored to fulfill specific business process and application needs. This role requires close collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure that the software solutions align with organizational goals. The workday often includes analyzing requirements, developing customized features, and refining applications to enhance operational efficiency. Continuous engagement with project teams to adapt and improve software functionalities is a key aspect of daily activities, ensuring that the applications remain effective and responsive to evolving business demands.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements for software customization.
- Maintain and update existing applications to improve performance and user experience.
- Document technical specifications and processes to support knowledge sharing within the team.
- Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support in understanding project requirements.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP for Utilities Billing.
- Experience in configuring and customizing SAP modules to align with business processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP for Utilities Billing applications.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in SAP for Utilities Billing.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
