Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by proactively identifying and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a dynamic approach to troubleshooting, ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous monitoring, analysis, and collaboration with different teams to maintain system stability and performance, while adapting to evolving business needs and technical challenges.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of system issues and minimize downtime.
- Mentor and support junior team members to enhance their technical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
- Continuously evaluate and improve support processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP Basis Administration.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with SAP HANA DB Administration.
- Strong knowledge of system performance tuning and optimization techniques within SAP environments.
- Experience in managing system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes to maintain system integrity.
- Ability to analyze system logs and diagnose complex technical issues effectively.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures to ensure data protection and business continuity.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in SAP Basis Administration.
- This position is based at our Hyderabad office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
