As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing and developing tailored software solutions that enhance various system components or applications. The role requires engaging in coding activities, collaborating with team members to refine functionalities, and continuously improving software performance. Working within an agile environment, the engineer focuses on delivering scalable and efficient solutions that meet unique business requirements, ensuring seamless integration and optimal operation across platforms.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for custom software development.
- Maintain and update existing software components to improve functionality and performance.
- Document development processes and solutions to support knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
- Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support in technical challenges.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in OpenText Documentum.
- Experience in developing and maintaining enterprise content management solutions using OpenText Documentum.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
- Ability to design, code, and test custom components within complex software environments.
- Familiarity with integration techniques and APIs related to content management systems.
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and optimize software applications.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in OpenText Documentum.
- This position is based at our Chennai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
