As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves executing the configuration management plan under the guidance of the Configuration Lead. The role includes supporting the design of software configurations and customizations that align with business process designs and application needs. This position requires close attention to detail and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure that software solutions are tailored effectively to meet organizational objectives and operational requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software configurations.
- Monitor and review configuration changes to maintain system integrity and compliance.
- Support junior team members by providing guidance and knowledge sharing.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP for Utilities Billing.
- Strong understanding of software configuration management principles and practices.
- Experience in customizing software solutions to align with business process requirements.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot configuration-related issues effectively.
- Familiarity with tools and techniques used in software configuration and version control.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in SAP for Utilities Billing.
- This position is based at our Kolkata office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
