Quality Engineering Lead
Project Role Description : Leads a team of quality engineers through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Applies business and functional knowledge to develop end-to-end testing strategies through the use of quality processes and methodologies. Applies testing methodologies, principles and processes to define and implement key metrics to manage and assess the testing process including test execution and defect resolution.

As a Quality Engineering Lead, a typical day involves guiding a team of quality engineers by coordinating multi-disciplinary planning and integrating various ecosystem components to enhance delivery speed and ensure high-quality standards throughout the application lifecycle. The role requires overseeing the development of comprehensive testing strategies that align with business and functional requirements. Throughout the day, the lead monitors testing progress, manages defect resolution, and collaborates with different teams to maintain seamless quality processes. This position demands a proactive approach to managing testing activities and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team and across projects.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality objectives and deliverables.
- Mentor and support junior team members to enhance their skills and professional growth.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize testing processes and increase efficiency.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Guidewire BillingCenter QA.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and best practices within software development lifecycles.
- Experience in designing and implementing end-to-end testing strategies for complex applications.
- Ability to define and track key quality metrics to monitor test execution and defect management.
- Skilled in coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and timely delivery.
- Competence in utilizing various testing tools and frameworks to support automation and manual testing efforts.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Guidewire BillingCenter QA.
- This position is based at our Hyderabad office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
