Summary:
As a Web Developer, a typical day involves designing, constructing, and thoroughly testing web-based applications that support various components of a website. The role includes editing and updating site content to ensure relevance and accuracy. Additionally, the position requires documenting technical designs and specifications in detail. Continuous research is conducted to integrate the latest content and features into websites, enhancing user experience and functionality. Collaboration with different teams to align web development efforts with project goals is also a key part of the daily routine.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the coordination of development activities to ensure timely delivery of web applications.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and skill development.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders to align technical solutions with business requirements.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM AS/400 RPG III.
- Experience in developing and maintaining web applications using IBM AS/400 RPG III environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize code performance.
- Familiarity with database management and integration within web applications.
- Ability to document technical specifications clearly and comprehensively.
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive solutions.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in IBM AS/400 RPG III.
- This position is based at our Chennai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
