Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying challenges and delivering timely solutions to ensure the smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous monitoring, collaboration with different teams, and a commitment to maintaining system reliability and performance in a dynamic work environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts using Eggplant Functional.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing using automation tools.
Analyze business and technical requirements to create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to understand application workflows and ensure test coverage.
Execute automated test suites and analyze test results to identify defects and root causes.
Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks for efficiency and scalability.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
Participate in test planning, estimation, and release activities.
Track and report defects using defect tracking tools such as JIRA or similar platforms.
Ensure adherence to QA best practices, coding standards, and documentation.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- 5–7 years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
Hands-on experience with Eggplant Functional / Eggplant Automation.
Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and scripting.
Experience with test design techniques, automation best practices, and debugging automation scripts.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, TestRail, ALM, etc.).
Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Dassault Systemes 3DEXPERIENCE Platform ENOVIA.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
