Summary:
As a Data Modeler, a typical day involves engaging closely with various stakeholders including business representatives, data owners, end users, application designers, and data architects. The role focuses on understanding existing data structures and designing new data models that align with business needs and technical requirements. This position requires continuous collaboration and communication to ensure that data models are accurate, efficient, and support the organization's objectives. The Data Modeler plays a vital role in bridging the gap between business goals and technical implementation by translating complex requirements into structured data solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to ensure data models are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team to enhance overall data modeling capabilities.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate data models into broader data management and analytics initiatives.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.
- Experience in designing and implementing complex data models that support business intelligence and analytics.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Ability to work with large datasets and optimize data structures for performance and scalability.
- Familiarity with data governance principles and ensuring data quality throughout the modeling process.
- Skilled in collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data models.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.
- This position is based at our Indore office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
