Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves leading the design, development, and configuration of software applications. This role requires taking ownership of the project s technical aspects and serving as the main liaison for all application-related activities. The position demands close collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure that the solutions meet business needs while maintaining high standards of quality and performance. The engineer actively manages the workflow, addresses challenges as they arise, and ensures timely delivery of project milestones through effective coordination and problem-solving.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Lead the technical design and implementation of software applications to meet project requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for effective solution delivery.
- Ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support junior team members by providing guidance and sharing knowledge to foster professional growth.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM Sterling Commerce.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with A&D Aftermarket.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and lifecycle management.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Experience in configuring and customizing enterprise-level packaged applications.
- Familiarity with integration techniques and middleware solutions related to IBM Sterling Commerce.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in IBM Sterling Commerce.
- This position is based at our Chennai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
