Description of Role and Practice
We are looking for InsuranceSuite Configuration Developers to help leading insurance companies to shape their digital strategy and business transformation and help them on their journey to grow their business and stay relevant for their customers. As part of the team, you will be working for some of the biggest financial institutions in the Nordics with a variety of project opportunities such as business transformation, digitalization, data and analytics and process design.
Key responsibilities
- Thorough understanding of Guidewire products with a specific skill set in Policy Center, Billing Center, or Claim Center.
- The role will work with internal customers/architects/Developers to design, develop, and maintain functionality within the Guidewire platform.
- Work with development teams so that proper patterns/practices are used to deliver software solutions.
- An understanding of the insurance business, an ability to talk to business analysts and SMEs in order to translate business requirements into system changes
- Experience relating to screen-related changes, changes to wizards, workflows, validation rules, an Business rules. Definition, design and configuration of the company structure (single or multiple internal companies, organization structure, regions, branches, users, roles, permissions, producer codes)
- Knowledge in configuration and coding using Guidewire tools and accelerators, Guidewire Batch, and Guidewire predefined plugins.
- Assess Technical Debt and Priorities with the development teams and leads to make sure the solutions that are built are sustainable and are production ready.
Qualifications
- 5+ years hands-on experience with Guidewire applications PC, BC or CC : either self-managed cloud AWS or Azure environment or/ and Guidewire Cloud Platform
- Experience with XML; SQL; Experience programming with modern technologies such as JavaScript, Java, C#, or a similar programming language
- Ability to debug software issues and resolve defects
- Experience and is certified in the Guidewire products being implemented
- Prior experience with GIT, Jenkins, Rally or other similar applications.
- Guidewire ACE Certifications is preferred
