We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Lower Environment Support Engineer to manage and support our pre-production environments. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with war room coordination, environment triaging, downtime handling, and a solid understanding of automation and scripting. Should play a key role in environment stability and supporting faster delivery cycles. Location: [Onsite/Remote/Hybrid] Shift coverage :Shift C (EST hrs support) 11 pm to 9 am Roles & Responsibilities : • Environment Management: Support and maintain lower/non-production environments (e.g., CRT1, Pre Prod, e2e1, e2e2, trn). • Communication: Act as a single point of contact for issues in lower environments. Communicate effectively with developers, QA, infra, and product teams. • War Room Coordination: Initiate and lead war rooms during critical incidents or outages. Ensure timely resolution and stakeholder updates. • Triaging & Issue Resolution: Perform initial triage for environment-related issues. Collaborate with relevant teams for deeper investigation and resolution. • Downtime Handling: Monitor and respond to environment downtimes. Ensure incidents are logged, RCA is performed, and preventive actions are taken. • Monitoring & Alerting: Use monitoring tools to proactively detect and address issues. Set up dashboards and alerts for environment health. • Automation: Identify repetitive tasks and automate them using scripting languages like Python. • Scripting & Tooling: Write and maintain scripts for environment setup, monitoring, or data refresh tasks. • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of environment architecture, processes, and known issues. Professional & Technical Skills : • Strong understanding of pre-production environment management • Excellent communication and coordination skills • Experience leading war rooms and incident management calls • Knowledge of monitoring tools such as: o Prometheus, Grafana, AppDynamics, Splunk, Dynatrace, etc. • Strong scripting skills in Python (Bash, PowerShell also a plus) • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) • Familiarity with incident and change management processes (ITIL knowledge is a plus) • Basic knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus Good to have Skills : Build Management, Estimation and Planning, Requirement Analysis, Release management & SLA Management
