Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves leading the design, construction, and configuration of software applications. This role requires taking ownership of the development process and serving as the main liaison for project-related communications. The position demands coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure that the applications meet the required specifications and function seamlessly within the intended environment. The engineer actively oversees the progress of the project, addresses challenges as they arise, and ensures that deliverables are completed on time and to the highest standards. Collaboration and leadership are key components throughout the daily workflow.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the planning and execution of development activities to meet project goals.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and support their professional growth.
- Facilitate effective communication between cross-functional teams to align objectives and resolve issues.
- Continuously evaluate and improve development processes to increase efficiency and quality.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
- Strong knowledge of SAP ABAP programming concepts and experience with HANA database integration.
- Experience in designing and implementing custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements within SAP environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to SAP ABAP and HANA.
- Familiarity with performance optimization techniques for SAP applications running on HANA.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies in SAP projects.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
- This position is based at our Gurugram office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
