Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working with modern development frameworks and following agile methodologies to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient software that meets unique business requirements. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and continuous refinement of software elements to enhance performance and usability are integral parts of the daily workflow.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Maintain and update existing software components to improve functionality and address issues.
- Document software designs, processes, and code changes to support knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
- Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Life Sciences R&D.
- Strong programming skills in multiple languages relevant to custom software development.
- Experience with modern software development frameworks and tools.
- Familiarity with agile software development practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines.
- Ability to analyze complex systems and design scalable, maintainable software solutions.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail in software design and implementation.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Life Sciences R&D.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
