Job Description: Senior Automation Test Engineer
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Automation Test Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience in automation testing to join our dynamic QA team. This role demands deep expertise in automation frameworks, tools like Selenium and Playwright, and strong proficiency in API testing and CI/CD integration. You will be instrumental in driving quality assurance initiatives, ensuring our applications meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Strategy & Frameworks
o Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for functional and regression testing.
Test Automation Execution
o Author and execute automated test scripts using Selenium and Playwright for web-based applications.
API Testing
o Build and maintain automated tests for RESTful APIs using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or Bruno.
CI/CD Integration
o Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Concourse) to support continuous testing and delivery.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
o Partner with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to understand requirements and deliver effective testing solutions.
Test Case Management
o Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed, structured, and comprehensive test cases.
Defect Tracking & Reporting
o Monitor test results, identify issues, and provide actionable feedback to stakeholders using tools like JIRA or Octane.
Documentation
o Maintain thorough documentation including test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
Mentorship
o Guide junior QA engineers, promote best practices, and foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Skills & Qualifications
Experience
o 7+ years of hands-on experience in automation testing, with a strong focus on web and API testing.
Automation Tools
o Expertise in Selenium and Playwright for test automation.
API Testing
o Proficient in testing RESTful APIs using Postman, Rest Assured, Bruno, or similar tools.
CI/CD
o Experience integrating tests with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Concourse, or equivalent.
Programming
o Strong command of Java or other programming languages commonly used in test automation.
Version Control
o Skilled in using Git for source code management.
Agile Practices
o Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and iterative development cycles.
Bug Tracking
o Experience with bug tracking and test management tools like JIRA, Octane, or similar.
Communication
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
Educational Qualification:
o Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
o Equivalent practical experience in automation testing and software development may also be considered in lieu of formal education
