Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves leading the design, development, and configuration of software applications. This role requires taking ownership of the project s technical direction and serving as the main liaison for all application-related activities. The position demands coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and functionality, while continuously overseeing the progress and quality of the software solutions being developed. The role also includes troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise during the development lifecycle, ensuring that the applications meet the required standards and business needs.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the planning and execution of software development activities to meet project goals.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders to align objectives.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and enhance team capabilities.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM Sterling Commerce.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with A&D Aftermarket.
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and application configuration.
- Ability to analyze complex technical problems and provide effective solutions.
- Experience in integrating applications with various enterprise systems and platforms.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting and debugging techniques to maintain application stability.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in IBM Sterling Commerce.
- This position is based at our Coimbatore office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
