Summary:
As an Application Developer, a typical day involves designing, building, and configuring applications that align with business processes and meet specific application requirements. This role requires a thoughtful approach to understanding the needs of the organization and translating them into functional software solutions. The workday may include collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the applications support operational goals effectively, while continuously refining and enhancing the software to adapt to evolving business demands.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze application requirements.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving application issues to maintain optimal performance.
- Document application designs and updates to support knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
- Support junior team members by providing guidance and sharing best practices.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Cobol Mainframe.
- Strong knowledge of application design and development principles within mainframe environments.
- Experience in debugging and optimizing Cobol programs for enhanced performance.
- Familiarity with batch processing and transaction management on mainframe systems.
- Ability to work with legacy systems and integrate them with modern business processes.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and version control practices.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Cobol Mainframe.
- This position is based at our Hyderabad office.
- A BTech or MTech or MCA with IT or CSE or EEE or ECE with 15 years full time education is required.
