Application Support Engineer
Project Role Description : Act as software detectives, provide a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems.

Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behavior, and ensuring smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous monitoring, collaboration with different teams, and delivering timely solutions to maintain system reliability and performance in a dynamic environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- At least 12 years of software development experience into JAVA/J2EE.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Portal Development.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Liferay DXP Architecture
- Providing the technical feasibility and creating technical architecture for the application.
- Providing the integration architecture for the portal.
- Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies
- Deliver high quality, unit tested code.
- Creating the HLD and LLD for the client requirements.
- Produce necessary documentation both technical and end-users targeted.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Liferay DXP – OSGI Development, JSR 286/168.
- Proficiency / knowledge / Experience in Liferay 7.X development knowledge of Portlet creation, themes development, working/Development knowledge of Hook/module, services, extensions
- Experience on Testing Automation and Dev Ops.
- Integration knowledge of External systems like LDAP, AD, Open ID, Reporting tool like Jasper Reports etc with Liferay.
- Hands on knowledge of SQL.
- Knowledge of good development practices TDD, principles and patterns, continuous integration.
- Experience on providing technical solutions for the Client requirements.
- Hands on experience in supporting new RFP and able to interact with client for client orals.
Additional Information:
- Hands on knowledge of Spring MVC or Struts
- Hands on knowledge of J2EE specification Servlet, JSPs and tag libraries
- Hands on knowledge of HTML, CSS, JQuery, JavaScript, AJAX
- Hands on experience on OSGI.
- Experience on Rest Web Services.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
