Summary:
As a Data Modeler, a typical day involves collaborating closely with various stakeholders including business representatives, data owners, end users, application designers, and data architects. The role focuses on understanding existing data structures and designing new data models that align with business needs and technical requirements. This position requires continuous interaction with different teams to ensure that data models are accurate, efficient, and support the organization's objectives. The workday is dynamic, involving analysis, design, and refinement of data models to facilitate seamless data integration and accessibility across systems.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data requirements.
- Ensure data models are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business goals.
- Document data modeling standards and best practices for team use.
- Assist junior team members in understanding data modeling concepts and methodologies.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Data Modeling Techniques and Methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of relational and dimensional data modeling concepts.
- Experience with database design and data warehousing principles.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into effective data models.
- Familiarity with data governance and data quality management practices.
- Skilled in using data modeling tools and software to create and maintain models.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Data Modeling Techniques and Methodologies.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
