Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves developing tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working closely with teams to apply modern development frameworks and agile methodologies, ensuring that the software delivered is scalable, efficient, and aligned with specific business requirements. This position offers the opportunity to engage in continuous enhancement of software products, contributing to the overall success of projects through innovative and customized approaches.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement ADAS application software in C plus plus and Python for features including ACC LKA AEB FCW BSD and RCW per OEM Tier 1 functional requirements.
2. Develop and optimize sensor fusion algorithms integrating data from camera mono stereo radar 77 GHz and LiDAR sensors for object detection and tracking.
3. Integrate ADAS feature software with AUTOSAR Adaptive Classic middleware layers and vehicle communication stacks CAN CAN FD Ethernet SOME IP.
4. Execute software unit testing and component integration testing with traceability to system requirements using Vector CAST Google Test or equivalent tools.
5. Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with MISRA C plus plus 2023 automotive coding standards and conduct static analysis using Poly space or LDRA.
6. Collaborate with system engineers to refine requirements and create software design specifications aligned with ASPICE SWE 1 to SWE 3 process areas.
7. Debug and resolve software defects identified during HIL SIL and on vehicle testing using hardware debug tools and trace analysis.
8. Support ASPICE compliant documentation including SRS SDD test plans test reports and change management records.
9. Participate in Agile SCRUM ceremonies including sprint planning daily stand ups retrospectives and delivery commitments.
10. Collaborate with OEM Tier 1 stakeholders during integration milestones and feature demonstrations
Professional & Technical Skills:
1. Must Have Strong proficiency in C plus plus and Python with automotive embedded software development experience in the ADAS domain.
2. Must Have Knowledge of ADAS algorithms including object detection multi sensor tracking path prediction and scene understanding.
3. Must Have Understanding of AUTOSAR Adaptive Classic Platform architecture software component design and service interfaces.
4. Must Have Experience with camera ISP CV pipelines radar 77 GHz CAN Ethernet or LiDAR sensor data processing.
5. Must Have Knowledge of ISO 26262 Functional Safety principles ASIL B C and SOTIF ISO 21448 concepts.
6. Must Have Hands on experience with MATLAB Simulink for model-based algorithm prototyping and verification.
7. Must Have Experience with Git CI CD pipelines CMake build systems and static analysis tools.
8. Good to Have Familiarity with OpenCV Eigen and PCL Point Cloud Library for perception algorithm development.
9. Good to Have Knowledge of CARLA LGSVL or IPG CarMaker simulation environments for ADAS scenario testing.
10. Good to Have Understanding of CAN CAN FD and Ethernet SOME IP DDS vehicle communication protocols.
11. Good to Have Awareness of ASPICE SWE process area documentation requirements.

1. Minimum 4 years of experience in ADAS Automotive Embedded SDV domain.
2. This position is based at our Pune office.
