As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working closely with teams to apply modern development frameworks and agile methodologies, ensuring that the software delivered is scalable, efficient, and aligned with unique business requirements. This position demands continuous collaboration and innovation to meet evolving project goals and client expectations in a dynamic work environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Develop test plans and test specifications for ADAS features LDW LKA ACC AEB FCW BSD RCW based on system and software requirements
2. Design and execute MIL Model in the Loop SIL Software in the Loop and HIL Hardware in the Loop validation campaigns for ADAS algorithms and ECU testing
3. Build configure and maintain HIL test benches using d SPACE SCALEXION Micro Auto Box or Vector Canoe RT for sensor simulation and actuator emulation
4. Develop MATLAB Simulink based test harnesses for model based verification and automated regression testing of ADAS functions
5. Implement and maintain automated test frameworks using Python CAPL or Robot Framework integrated with CI CD pipelines
6. Validate sensor fusion and perception outputs including object detection accuracy tracking performance false positive and false negative rates and robustness across diverse ODD scenarios
7. Perform fault injection and negative testing to verify ISO 26262 ASIL B C safety mechanisms covering sensor actuator and communication failure conditions
8. Analyze test results manage defect reporting in JIRA ALM and maintain end to end requirements traceability using Polariton Code beamer or IBM DOORS NG
9. Support ASPICE SWE4 SWE5 SWE6 SYS4 and SYS5 compliance activities through verification and validation documentation
10. Participate in vehicle level ADAS validation including drive test data analysis ground truth annotation performance assessment and benchmarking against NCAP requirements
Professional & Technical Skills:
1. Strong experience in ADAS Verification and Validation across MIL SIL and HIL environments including test design and execution methodologies
2. Hands on expertise with HIL platforms such as d SPACE SCALEXION Micro Auto Box II NI Veri Stand or Vector Canoe RT
3. Proficiency in MATLAB Simulink for model-based testing test automation and regression framework development
4. Solid understanding of ISO 26262 software and system testing requirements for ASIL B C safety critical systems
5. Experience with ADAS data logging and analysis tools such as ADTF DLT Viewer and Rosbag
6. Knowledge of SOTIF ISO 21448 and scenario-based validation approaches for ADAS feature verification
7. Experience with requirements management and traceability tools including Polariton Code beamer IBM DOORS NG or Jama Connect
8. Familiarity with Open SCENARIO and Open DRIVE standards for scenario generation and validation
9. Exposure to virtual validation environments such as CARLA IPG Car Maker or rFpro
10. Understanding of Euro NCAP and NHTSA ADAS validation protocols including AEB LKA and AES test scenarios
11. Working knowledge of Python based data analysis libraries such as Pandas NumPy and Matplotlib for test result evaluation
12. Experience in CAN, CAN FD network analysis using Vector CANalyzer Canoe or equivalent tools
