As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working closely with teams to apply modern development frameworks and agile methodologies, ensuring that the software delivered is scalable, efficient, and aligned with unique business requirements. This position demands continuous collaboration and innovation to meet evolving project goals and client expectations in a dynamic work environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement cross domain SDV application software in C++17 20 and Python targeting AUTOSAR Adaptive Linux or QNX vehicle compute environments.
2. Develop service-oriented vehicle application features using SOMEIP AUTOSAR Aracoma and DDS Fast DDS Eclipse Zenoh publish subscribe patterns for in vehicle data distribution.
3. Implement vehicle signal service adapters using COVESA VSS Vehicle Signal Specification compliant data models signal routing and vehicle API abstraction layers.
4. Develop OTA aware application feature modules including feature flag management AB feature activation runtime configuration updates and rollback safe design.
5. Integrate AUTOSAR Adaptive application services including aracom service discovery ara exec lifecycle management and aralog structured logging.
6. Implement vehicle application features consuming vehicle data including driver monitoring cabin environment predictive maintenance and remote diagnostics applications.
7. Develop cloud connected application services including vehicle to cloud data pipelines event driven cloud triggers and bidirectional remote service invocation.
8. Write unit tests integration tests and component tests with mocking for SDV application modules.
9. Ensure compliance with MISRA C and C++ Coding Guidelines and static analysis tools for application code quality.
10. Contribute to ASPICE SWE1 to SWE3 documentation including software requirements specification software architecture document and software detailed design.
Professional & Technical Skills:
1. Must Have Proficiency in C++ and Python for embedded application software development in Linux or RTOS environments.
2. Must Have Knowledge of AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform application layer include aracom SOMEIP DDS araexec aralog and Manifest configuration.
3. Must Have Understanding of service-oriented vehicle architectures including SOMEIP service discovery publish subscribe patterns and API contract design.
4. Must Have Familiarity with COVESA VSS or similar vehicle data model standards for signal abstraction and normalization.
5. Must Have Experience with OTA aware software design including feature toggles AB activation configuration management and graceful degradation.
6. Must Have Knowledge of software build systems include CMake Bazel Yocto Open Embedded recipe authoring for SDV application packages.
7. Must Have Experience with Git CICD Jenkins GitLab CI code review Gerrit and automated test pipelines.
8. Good to Have Experience with Eclipse Zenoh DDS Fast DDS Cyclone DDS or MQTT for next generation SDV vehicle communication.
9. Good to Have Familiarity with container-based application deployment including Docker OCI Pod man and Kubernetes for automotive application hosting.
10. Good to Have Knowledge of functional safety implications for SDV application software including ISO 26262 ASIL allocation and software QM designation.
11. Good to Understand automotive cybersecurity principles including ISO SAE 21434 secure coding input validation and threat aware design.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 4 years of experience in Automotive Embedded Software or SDV Platform Development cross-domain.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
