Your growth is central to our success. Whether through structured training, mentorship, or exposure to high-profile projects across the Nordic region, you’ll have the opportunity to build a career you’re truly proud of.

Operating across Norway’s rapidly expanding infrastructure, energy, and data centre sectors, you’ll play a key role in delivering projects that support sustainability, innovation, and long-term economic growth.

As an Estimator at Soben, part of Accenture, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of projects across Norway. You will be responsible for developing robust, accurate cost estimates aligned to both local market conditions and global best practices.

Working closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams, you will support projects throughout the pre-contract and estimation lifecycle, ensuring cost certainty and effective decision-making.

You will contribute to projects across sectors such as data centres, energy, infrastructure, and industrial developments within the Norwegian market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates aligned with the level of design maturity and project requirements
  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation to identify key cost drivers
  • Apply knowledge of Norwegian market conditions, supply chain dynamics, and construction methodologies
  • Conduct risk and opportunity analysis to support informed cost planning and budgeting
  • Review, validate, and benchmark cost data against historical and regional project data
  • Develop and maintain unit rates and pricing strategies relevant to the Nordic market
  • Engage with local contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to obtain accurate and current pricing
  • Collaborate with engineering, commercial, and project teams to ensure alignment of scope and cost
  • Prepare material take-offs and quantify works from technical documentation
  • Support the reporting cycle, clearly communicating estimate updates and cost movements
  • Present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and clients
  • Review contract documentation to understand scope, assumptions, and cost implications
  • Mentor and support junior estimators, contributing to team capability development
  • Ensure compliance with Soben and Accenture standards, as well as local Norwegian regulations

Working at Soben (Part of Accenture)

  • Opportunity to work on high-profile projects across Norway and the wider Nordic region
  • Access to Accenture’s global network, tools, and digital capabilities
  • A collaborative and high-performing environment with strong career progression opportunities

    About You

    • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
    • Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS, AACE, ACostE, or equivalent) is advantageous
    • 8–10+ years of estimating experience within construction, infrastructure, or energy sectors
    • Experience working on projects in Norway or the Nordic region strongly preferred
    • Understanding of Norwegian construction standards, procurement routes, and cost drivers
    • Strong experience in pre-contract estimating for large-scale or complex projects
    • Proficiency in estimating tools such as CostX, Candy, Causeway, or similar
    • Ability to interpret complex technical documentation and translate it into accurate cost outputs
    • Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders
    • Experience in client-facing environments with a collaborative and consultative approach
    • Familiarity with BIM, digital estimating tools, and data-led cost planning
