Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behavior, and ensuring smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous monitoring, collaboration with different teams, and delivering timely solutions to maintain system reliability and performance in a dynamic work environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Developing and implementing custom Documentum D2 applications and components using Documentum D2 Configurations, forms, workflows and widgets.
- Customizing existing Documentum D2 components and workflows to align with specific business processes and requirements
- Developing custom utilities using Java and DFCs as per business requirements.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to Documentum D2 system, such as performance problems, access permissions, or integration challenges.
- Provide technical assistance and support to end users experiencing Documentum related problems. This may involve troubleshooting user issues, responding to inquiries and guiding users on how to use the system effectively.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Document findings and resolutions to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Assist in the implementation of system updates and enhancements to improve overall functionality.
- Support junior team members by sharing expertise and providing guidance when needed.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must Have Skills: Proficiency in OpenText Documentum.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve software issues effectively.
- Experience in monitoring and maintaining enterprise content management systems.
- Familiarity with system integration and troubleshooting within multi-component environments.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Documentum with Java Skills Experience as below,
- Contribute in Documentum product deployments, upgrades etc.
- Support during application custom codes & patch deployments & application validations
- Support during server infrastructure upgrades, maintenance & scheduled downtime activities.
- Involve & Coordinate with different teams for resolution of issues. Handling P1/P2 tickets
- Performs Documentum products systems administration tasks for Content Server, D2, Webtop, Content Transformation Services, xPlore, DFS etc.
- Knowledge of service now,AKS,Unix/Linux/Windows and cloud-based technology
- Ability to work with stakeholders/vendor on issues and drive it to resolution
- Independent with strong analytical, interpersonal communication skills

- The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in OpenText Documentum.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
